KZLA 93.9 recently left the Los Angeles radio market with no country radio. What is an HD side channel?

Question: KZLA is only broadcasting country music in LA over the internet. This means there is NO COUNTRY on the radio :( in LA. The website says "In addition, we will broadcast country music on the HD side channel of the new “Movin’ 939.”", what is that? just so you know - its a SCAM to get you to buy Satilite Radio... trust me, think about it - the largest market in the country with NO country music, where do go now - SATILITE - it worked with Howard Stern, so why not Country Radio...
