Is there any point in buying a HD TV yet?

Question:
Sky are charging a subscription to HD channels, The technology isn't available on all channels yet, should I wait for the prices to drop & the TV's to become better in quality.

Answer:
yeah - i never rush out and buy the new technology ...its always expensive often has limited uses and problems ..

wait till the hd tv has settled down ...and prices will fall .then swap over ...
I think it is very wise to wait for prices to go a bit. You don't have many HD channels yet anyway.
Personal taste. I bought one in July. I love it. If you want to sit there watching a crappy low def picture, be my guest. As far as programming goes, there's plenty and getting more all the time. As far as reliability and perfomance, HD has been around long enough to get the bugs out. As far as price, you get what you pay for.
