What is XM Radio? What is HD Radio? How are they different and which one is better?

Question:
I like listening to the radio. But there are way too little amounts of channels on FM Radio...

Anyway, I listen to the radio from my cellular and from my alarm watch. And after your discriptions, I want you to add how i can have those radios on my phone or on my alarm watch. I'd be real greatful. Oh and if there's a website, plz include it.

Answer:
XM is a pay service that requires their own special radio. It costs around $12.99 a month.XM broadcasts will not play on your phone or watch devices...
As far as HD Radio, it is regular radio, but the sound quality is supposed to be much better. HD Radio is no different then old regular radio because it still has ads and is controlled by the FCC.so if you are looking to escape that, then XM or Sirius is the way to go..Once again though, HD Radio is the exact same broadcast you hear on regular radio, and to be honest, save your $. The only difference is sound quality. And yes, you have to purchase a "HD" radio receiver too, just like satellite....Good Luck
