You really can't answer this for someone. Its the kind of thing you have to compare for yourself. I have DirecTV, and I love it. My friends have Dish and also love their service. If you are seriously trying to compare, go to both providers web sites and try to do a side by side comparison. Since they have several of the same channels, one may have a certain channel that you just couldn't live without, but wouldn't mean a lick to me. Also, make sure you look at the additional fees. That is where my service and my friends really differs. I pay for TiVo, I don't believe they do.
We have dish network and we love it...
The only times we have problems is when there is a storm happening
