How do I increase signal strength when using an antenna to access HD channels?

Question:

Answer:
First thing you want to do is make sure you are using the correct type/size antenna for your location.

Look at the recommended antenna for your location. If the antenna is not the right type or is too small, I'm not sure an signal amplifier would help that much.

My neighbor had an old antenna (20-30 years old) and ended up replacing it with an appropriate antenna. He went from horrible HD reception to fantastic reception in an afternoon. No amplifier needed.
you can buy amplifiers for antenna siganl, just make sure it is capable of up to 1000mhz. Also if you antenna cable is too long, or really old and crappy, or your antenna is too old. those are a few thing to look for.
Good luck
