i saw some offers on ebay and googled it. looks like some kind of real player download. i just moved and haven't connected cable tv yet, looking into other options. 1000's of channels on satellte tv thru the pc looks like a great deal, and they say only a one time fee and don't need any dish or other hardware. has anyone used this yet? pros/cons/options? thanks a lot! :)

You can get reduced cable TV rates in large metropolitan areas if you ask about them long enough on the phone. My daughter got 20 channels for $10 per month. They call it restricted service or minimum service options etc. Tell them your poor and need the absolute lowest cost service plan option they have. Call back twice to make sure the first person gave you the straight scoop.
