Question:
It must be 56" with a solid black cabinet and the best possible picture from side angles because of our seating. Also, we want the highest technology (i.e. LCOS) but our local cable company doesn't yet offer HD-channels so until they do, the picture quality of non-HD channels should be just as good.
Answer:
We just bought the Sony SXRD XBR50 (it's a 50 inch but I'm sure you can get a larger model). It's top of the line right now and has incredible picture quality. We have Direct TV's HD receiver hooked up to it. We bought ours from Myer Emco. Hope this helps!
