With my direct tv satellite dish, how do you hook up a dvd player and a vcr to them. my tv is older.?

Question:
I have an older magnavox tv that only has one cable jack that is hooked up to my direct tv satellite box. I have no clue how to hook up my ILO DVR05 to my emerson vhs player. My tv is not the problem at all. I already have rf modulators.

Answer:
Here's what to do: Run the coax from the sattelite "out" into your VCR "in", run another coax from the VCR "out" into the RF modulator "in". Next, Hook up the colored cables from your DVD player "out" directly into the RF modulator "in" (doesent work right if you hook it up to your VCR), and finally run the coax from the RF modulator "out" into your tv's "in". All my current TV's have the colored jacks, but I've had this problem in the past. Good Luck.
I have the same thing on my magnavox. Run the coax from the tv to the vcr "out" and the satellite receiver to the "in." Hopefully your VCR has enough jacks for your DVD player to go "in" too. I'm not sure where your rf modulator is, but don't those have multiple jacks as well?
You can not unless you have extra video and audio inputs. RF conectors can not be used to hooh up a dvd play etc. Thos hook ups are RCA components or composits. If your tv does not have extra RCA input/output hook ups I am afraid it cannot be done.

I have digital HD cable and HD DVD both are hooked to my tv and all audio is hooked to my reciever. My cable box is only able to hook to the tv.

I am afraid you may have to upgrade your tv.
