Question:
I just got a new HDTV it has an HD pickup in it so now i can get the extra basic channels from my cable that i couldn't get before my tv scans and picks up most of the channels but it misses just a few that it should be getting. It has a place to find those channels but you must have the rf signal number in order to fin them. I am looking for a place that tells the rf number of channels. I live in Charlotte North CArolina but if there is a site for anywhere that would do. I am really looking for the rf number for cbs hd or wbtv-dt since this is the only real channel i am missing also tnt-hd would be nice.
Answer:
CBS should probably be rebroadcast over the air and you should be able to pick it up using an antenna. For TNT you'd need a digital box or a cable card to pick up the channels you're missing now that TWC doesn't rebraodcast.
The digital box will cost you about $6 a month, a cable card only about $3 a month. The digital box is more expensive, but much better quality (the cable card is "crap" according to my husband).
Call Time Warner to get more information on the differences between the two to help you decide which, if either, you want to get.
