Will an HDTV antenna work with a standard definition TV?

Question:
I have a standard definition TV, and I'm looking for a new indoor antenna. Will I get any reception using an HDTV antenna? Obviously I wouldn't get HD quality picture, but would standard channels come in? I may get an HDTV in the future, and I don't want to have to buy another antenna. Thanks!

Answer:
The antenna is just a receiver of RF signals and yes it can receive both SD and HD signals.
