Question:
I recently purchased a plasma screen TV. I have it hooked up with Cogeco Digital Cable (HD), and a surround sound system. When watching DVDs that don't fill the screen, or some channels with Digital Cable, there is a line either on the top or right of the screen (where the picture ends). It's distracting when watching a movie, and I'm curious if there's a way to fix this. The line is pink or white, and is part of the actual picture, it is dashed (- - - - - - -) and extends across the entire picture.
Answer:
Is that line going away if you use a different aspect mode?
If yes, then it Looks like a TV underscan problem. Something very easy to fix by using the service menu. Call technical support and they will do a minor adjustment.
It would be a good idea to check you warranty sooner than later I think. Good luck.
