How do you connect a vcr to dish network to record a tv show?

Question:
I'm trying to connect it with a/v cables but I'm not sure how to set it up with the satellite box, tv, and vcr.

Answer:
sat box out to VCR in,, VCR out to TV
~VIDEO CORD 'OUT' OF SAT. BOX
~VIDEO 'IN' TO VCR

DO THE SAME WITH THE AUDIO CORDS AND SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO. THE BACK OF BOTH THE VCR AND SAT. BOX HAVE WHAT THEY ARE WRITTEN ON THEM

HOPE THIS HELPS!
If you are using RCA cables, you put them in the appropriate in plugs on the back or front of the vcr, assuming you have the television on the channel where you would watch a vcr tape - then you just have to put the vcr to the channel (line 1 or line 2) -whichever you just plugged the RCA cables into. Then turn on your satellite to the channel you want to record. You should be able to see the show on the tv as you are recording it.

so you would have the satellite reciever rca cables out -
- to vcr in - then another set from vcr out -
to tv in - it's pretty simple if you just think of the vcr like your tv without a picture. Set it up the same way - it's a middle man.
Easy, all you have to do is connect your RCA cable ( aka ) audio and video cables one will be red, one white and one yellow its all color coated so just connect them in your tv and enjoy!!!
