What type of TV should I buy?

Question:
I want a flat TV, but I also would love it to be very colorful, but I am confused. whats the dirfference between plasma and HDTV ? I am not very TV savy... we are planning on 32'' or more... we dont play any ps2 or Xbox... so, what type of TV is economic , flat and has a good screen color.

also! I have direct tv. are most of the channels HD??

THanxs!

Answer:
I honestly believe, based on information you provided, that a Plasma Television would be the technology of choice for you. Plasma televisions offer increased brightness, contrast, and color reproduction over other technologies such as LCD. Since you don't play games or want to use a PC on your TV, then burn-in won't be an issue as long as you watch a variety of different channels. The smallest most Plasmas are made is 42". I would recommend Panasonic, as their plasmas have great color reproduction.
I would recommend LCD flat TV try Sony.
Plasma is a type of TV.
HDTV is High Definition TV I think all Plasma and LCD is include in HDTV.
HDTV:
HDTV: high definiton

Plasma: type
