Home Theater Setup help?

Question:
Ok, here's my problem:

when I go from HD channels back to "regular" channels, my regular channels have the black sidebars on the side.

Can I get rid of these on the regular channels??

What am I doing wrong?

contact me if I need to give more information

Answer:
Change the TV settings in the picture options. There should be settings that say: FULL, H-FILL, or ZOOM. If you set it to one of these then the whole screen will be full.
You're doing nothing wrong. Regular channels usually broadcast in fullscreen, as opposed to widescreen. Fullscreen on a widescreen TV leaves black bars on the sides, as opposed to widescreen on a fullscreen TV, which leaves black bars on the top and bottom. This can be fixed by fiddling with cable box settings and TV settings. I know at least on my TV (a Sony Bravia) you need to change the zoom settings.
with ur cable remote hit power then menu real quick. that takes u into hd settings. if u have a 1080 tv, set it to 16:9 1080i 480p and all will be good
