Is there anyway to make the HDTV not be so far behind normal channels?

Question:
My HD channels are usually 7 seconds behind the same thing on a non-HD channels. Is there anyway to change this?

Answer:
No. It is function of the Tuner on your TV. There is far more data to process with HD channels.
I suspect you are a satellite subscriber as you are describing the additional delay in sending the signal up to the satellite from your subscriber and the down time to your receiver. As long as you are with a satellite provider, you will incur this delay, it cannot be helped. It all part of physics, 3 seconds up and 3 seconds down.
