How I get better picture quality on HDTV?

Question:
I've a HD TV. Also I've satellite cable with regular channels program. What type of cable should I use from the wall to TV to improve the picture quality without leasing their HD receiver. Is it possible?

Answer:
If the box has component cable (red, green, and blue), you can use that to improve the quality of the image. If that's not available, using S-video will be your second best bet to improve the quality.
If your HDTV has an HDTV tuner built in, you could just hook up an antenna and get over the air digital programming.

Are you hooking your TV directly into your cable TV w/o a cable box? I think that may be the best picture you'll ever get w/o getting a box. There's not enough of a loss difference between RG-59 and RG-6 where you'll see the diff onscreen. And the only onther way to improve your picture is to improve the source, which means getting an HDTV package (which includes the HDTV cable receiver) from your cable provider.
Rg-6 only makes a difference if you have a built in hd tuner
