Are dish TV more prone to lightning damage to TV set than cable TV.?

Question:
Dish of DTH platform being on top of the roof could be the easy path for lightning current to travel?

Answer:
Use a surge protector with a cable line protector built in.
No, a cable system surfaces at every house it serves and is suspectable to transmitting a lightning strike back into the system. Satellite systems cannot transmitt to other homes so you would have to be directly hit by the lightning strike to receive damage. Those chances are very small.
