Can't compete with the name brands, the prices have gone down so low, it's actually getting cheaper to buy them, than build one. I really don't care for windows vista either.
I would stay within the $700-$1000 range, depending on weather or not it is name brand stuff. Sounds like a computer i was planing on building.
I would suggest totaling the cost for parts, then add the standard 30-40% mark-up for profit.
$600 cpu out of date so is the ram
$500 that's how much I sell them for. good luck if you already spent more than that.
