Answer:
Well.CHARTER is a Cable Company that supplys Standard and Hi Def Cable to your home..am I correct?
Cable Companies do not provide HD SIGNALS without their Cable box, as the box is required to DE-Scramble the encoded signal...
So, wait until you get the box to do your comparison.
I have Dish Satellite, and that box is required for HD signals..
High def has the whole field of view in sharp detail, even stuff out at the edges.
Man, you got ripped off, if you have the HD box then it should automatically appear in HD. And yes there is a very BIG DIFFERENCE. Everything is crystal clear when it is in HD. My point is that you should be able to see the difference from reg. to HD. You should call the people who you got the box from and if they don't help then switch to a well known provider like direct tv HD.
Channels wont be in hd without the box. The hd box converts the digital signal into high definition.
check with your the person that you bought the tv from, it may be that the area that you live in may not have it yet
if you havent subscribed to the service than you dont have it., with my comcast you sub to the service for less than 8 dollars and the box gets swapped out. additional boxes are around 13 bucks
