Can i use a tv tuner card for my computer if DIsh network is my television provider?

Question:
i am not sure what it is that i watch while watching television provided by dish network, can i call it cable tv even though it is provided by satellite?

but any ways, the tv tuner cards i have seen for computers all say you must have "cable tv" under system requirements, so. i dont know if that means i can use it with Dish networks service, and also would i need a cable box ? Right now the service is only set up for two televisions, if i were to split the cable to the computer would it even pick up a signal, or would i have to split the cable as it left the cable box to the other television to get the signal?

Answer:
what you can probably do is have a cable going from your Dish-box to your tv tuner card's input. but, you will have to use your Dish-box to change channels, ya know? you won't be able to change channels on your computer or record specific programs. but you will be able to watch DishTV on your computer monitor.
Make sure that you run the cable through your satellite box before you run it into your tuner, everything should be fine. Make sure tuner is on Ch 3
