Why do I have to zoom the HD channels on my TV, but the regular channels fit 16x9? Sansung 40in LCD?

Question:
When I change the aspect ratio and other options on the cable box it seems to make no difference. Do I need to change which input I'm using? Righ now it's in cable 3 input I believe. Any help would be much apreciated.

Answer:
the input on the tv must be turned to the input on the back of the tv where the red green and blue cables are plugged into there is a setting on our cable boxes under picture format that reads bypass or upconvert 1 or upconvert 2 select upconvert 1 if you can then the cable box will automaticly select the correct format 720 480 1080i to display the picture in full screen
go to the cable box settings and check to see if you have it on the correct screen size/format.

Also I feel sorry for you because you bought a Samsung. :p

youll find out in a year or 2-3
