Right now i have my hd/dvr plugged in to my only hdmi port in my hdtv. I am also planning on getting a....?

Question:
hddvd player/surround sound with 2 hdmi ports(input and output). I am planning on connecting the hddvd player to the only hdmi port on my tv, and using the second hdmi port on the dvd player to connect the newest hd/dvr from dish network. When i have my hd/dvr connected to my 1080i hdtv via hdmi, the picture is just outstanding. My only concern is would connecting my hd/dvr to my dvd player via hdmi ,which is connected to my hdtv via hdmi, cause a reduction in picture quality when watching hd channels, or will it look exactly the same?

Answer:
It should look exactly the same. HDMI is digital and should not degrade when passed through your hd dvd player.
I don't think that it will change any thing cuz that is HD cable or HDMI so you will be OK .
since the signal is digital there should be no degradation of the signal
