How do I get free HD local channels?
Question:
Answer:
The shows have to be brodcast in HD, to be able to recieve them.
Most local TV stations do broadcast in HD. You will first have to purchase an HD receiver. They come in all forms. Also if your TV is not an HD TV it will do you no good to receive HD signals. If you would like an explanation as to why, you are welcome to email me.
You can buy an HD antenna here: http://www.antennasdirect.com/?utm_sourc...
or from several other sources. If you need an HD receiver and need help, I would suggest Circuit City or Best Buy or other electronics stores that can provide personal assistance in helping you decide.
If you know what you want, you can get it from here:
http://www.shopping.com/xgs-hd_receiver~...
or several other stores on the internet. Just type in HD receiver on any search engine and it will bring up a slew of people that sell them.
I would suggest getting a bundle kit, as it has instructions on how to align the antennas, set up the receiver and hook up the connections. If you want to get a professional installer to do the work for you, it will cost from 200 to 800 dollars depending on area and equipment.
Have a great day.
you need a HD antanna and a HD decoder, you can buy this off Crutchfield.com
You may be able to get by with this http://shopper.cnet.com/samsung_sir_ts36...
There used to be off-the-air only HDTV tuners but they seem to have disappeared. Check e-bay for RCA DTC-100 or DTC-200, or Samsung T-165. They should go for around $200 or less
