Comcast - HD Programming?

Question:
I'm a current Chicago Comcast customer with the Motorola dual-tuner DVR box. I'm about to get an HDTV, and want the HD programming that comcast offers.

I'm getting some conflicting information from Comcast, but do I need to add HD programming as an option. The website indicates that it's $7/month extra, but when I just called them they told me that the channels are included if you have the DVR, and they will display when I hook up my HDTV.

Which is it?!

Thanks!

Answer:
Hi Kurt,

Comcast is known for different answers at different locations. If you call back the same location and ask a different agent you often get a different answer.

I needed two cable cards. I called Comcast and got three different answers from three people.

I know that doesn't help you but that is the way it is. Comcast just doesn't seem to have a "printed list" of their features and services.

Do you have the Tivo Series 3, or the comcast DVR..

If you have Tivo, then the HD is included with the cable cards..

All the more reason to go with Tivo, over the comcast DVR
