Can i improve regular channel quality on hd tv?

Question:
I noticed that regular channels are blurry and not very good in quality... are there ways to make this better? by adjusting the settings of the tv or different cable wires?

Thanks.

Answer:
Analog TV has about 240 active lines at a time (interlaced), your TV has probably 736. Scaling 240 noisy lines to 736 is not going to look pretty.

You need to get "digital" input (they have at least 480 lines and less noise):
Digital cable
Satellite (all satellite is digital)
or of-the-air antenna and watch the digital channels
Unforunately, HDTVs are meant for a high definition source. I also have an HDTV and have basic cable, not the greatest picture quality. The only thing you can do is play with the settings for a while, and figure out what looks best for you. Sorry can't be much more help.
