Why don't i have BBC HD channel?

Question:
ive got a panasonic viera plasma 37inch.
it saays that the quality of the bbc HD channel is 4 while the rest of my channels is 10.
it says no service
any ideas?

Answer:
I am not sure which Panasonic Viera TV you have, but if it is similar to my 42" version (TH42PX70), then you will need an external device to decode the high-definition signal sent from satellite before you can watch BBC HD on your television.

Here are some of the external decoding devices that will enable you to watch BBC HD:

1) Pace DS810XE HD Satellite Receiver Box £150
2) Humax DCI2000 HD Satellite Receiver Box £210
3) Sky HD £299 for box + month subscription
