Dish or Direct TV?
Question:
Answer:
I have had dish network for over 8 years...have maybe lost signal twice (in very extreme weather). Customer service is always helpful. I have never had any problems. Rates are hardly raised, and when they are...very small increase**our highest was $1*. I had comcast before I got Dish and hated it. They raised my rates within a month of having it, and after the second rise, I switched to dish and have never looked back. Adding or removing programming is simple. My mother and father in law both have comcast and do nothing but complain about signal issues, cable being out and costs going up. If fact my father in law has Comcast cable and internet service and has had to have service out NUMEROUS times to fix the same problem..which never seems to get fixed, but they still bill him.
I love my Dish Network, wouldn't trade it and have nothing but good experiences with them.
Hope this helps :)
They are both horrible, just get Comcast.
cable
faster internet through cable..and if its comcast you get on demand.way better than anything either dish company offers..
Direct TV
it`s AWESOME
ith direct i had alot problems, but now i have dish and i like it
neither
well I had to cancel direct TV, because they charged 120 all the time even after they said it would be 50.00 a month, their channels aren't bad and their movie selection is OK, but maybe Dish is better
cable only
None .
DirecTV beats it all, IMO with prices and quality. Dish Network techs have even said that DirecTV has a stonger signal. I've been with DirecTV for over two years and would never switch it to anything else.
DirecTV is way better...even if you're not a sports fanatic and don't want to buy the sports "ticket" programming (NFL, MLB, etc.). Dish keeps dropping or threatening to drop channels. We've had DirecTV for about 5 years now and just got our first price hike.I believe it's about $2.00..maybe less! Now we've gone HD and it's like night and day!
Cable is ok, but they raise they rates every time, it seems, someone gets a wild hair! Not to mention when they go out, you never know how long it'll be until it comes back on! And if you bundle the package, when the cable goes, so goes everything else associated with it!
Satellite is the best way to go and DirecTV is the one to choose!
I have direct and i just love it!!
we had cable but they kept cutting channels
they other thing is in 2 years they are switching the signal from analog to digital
now this doesn't mean you have to run out and buy a new tv it just means that you have to have a digital reciever, and satillite tv is a digital reciever but unless you have digital cable you will have to upgrade and if you have an older house it can be expensive
so I love my dish and i have only lost signal when there is a really really bad storm that passes at just the right angle and then as fast as the storm is moving is how long I have had to wiat for it to come back and oh yeah different channels are on different signals so i can almost always find something else
I've had both satelite and cable. Direct TV has been the best and I've been with DirecTv for about 5 years now.
I work for a municipality..I can 't tell you the number of calls I get per day complaining about CABLE TV.
I have Dish. I love it.and it's way cheaper. I have had no problems at all - I do get it bundled with my AT&T phone and internet.
I am not sure where you live but Direct TV is not picking up the CW channel in alot of places, if she likes any of the shows on the CW channel make sure you can get it where you live with Direct. Other than that I like my Direct TV. Make sure you get a DVR either way, its the best!!!
