Can i watch HD channels??


Question:
I live in the middle east and there is no support for HD over here. If i buy a reciever and sat and card from US can i watch HD channels here. I have an HDTV ready tv...

Answer:
I don't think so. US satellite equipment from DirecTV, Dish Network, and Echostar operates with satellites that are in geostationary orbit above the US. I don't think you can get the required line of site between you and the satellites to be able to receive the programs if you are in the Middle East.

You'll need to find a satellite television services provider that operates satellites with line of site to where you are in the Middle East.
