Time-Warner cable or Direct-TV?
Question:
A little about me: Love football, would love NFL Sunday Ticket, but I've done without it so far. What about NFL Network? Does Time-Warner even offer it? I have to have Thanksgiving football!
Also a huge TV fan. DVR is a must, also HD. The majority of what I watch is on the DVR and in HD. My experience with DVR boc is that they are fragile? Cable company replaces, with Dish would I have to buy a new one?
What about other rooms? Currently with cable I don't need a box for the bedrooms to get channels 2-80. Will I need to purchase a box for eac if I go with Dish?
What about network prime-time programming (ABC, NBC, CBS)... What about local news and broadcasts... are all these available with Dish?
Is there any substantial monthly savings for similar programming with one over the other?
Someone convince me to go with DirectTV so I can get my Sunday Ticket!
Answer:
I'm not going to convince you to go with Direct TV, if that's what you want then get it. However, while satellite tv offers more channels and variety in programming packages; cable tv is more reliable in bad weather. In the slightest bad weather satellite tv can go out or become very static, which is not a concern with cable. Price wise you can get great deals with both services if you know how and when to bargain for a good deal with the provider. Also, most satellite providers offer local channels with their basic service, but some may charge extra. Hope this helps! Good luck.
Direct TV, just do it dude!!
cable!!ive heard so much about the dtv and weather making it go out/off.
