How many channels does a tv go up to?
Question:
We have an older tv that came from Asia. We are currently using a converter to watch cable tv (analog). The converter is old and it only goes up to channel 99. Shaw have channels for basic cable that are over channel 100+. Since there are no more analog cable converters out there, we wanted to get a new tv with built-in tuners. So, how many channels do they go up to? I heard people said that it depends on the cable plan that you are using.
Our current older TV only goes up to channel 20.
Thanks in advanced. Feel free to point me to a website for more explaination.
Answer:
I think it depends on whether you have a satelite or just plain cable how many channels you get. But, if you don't either the t.v. itself goes up to about 99 without anything.
Modern TV's can have upto more than 500 channels. If you have the money to subscribe, you can purchase a TV and if you have the time to watch, you could watch all day. Obviously, the more channels you have, the more money you'll have to spend.
Mine goes from channel 2 to channel 999.
