Is dish better than cable tv? Is there much interuptions with dish?

Question:
I am looking into getting Dish and cancel my Cable service. Am I making a mistake, some people say it is good and others say i is not

Answer:
Don't disconnect your cable! Dish is bad. Everytime it rains, you'll lose your signal and that pesky time when sunspots are active you'll lose it too.
I think cable is better than dish because with a dish you get what they call, "rain fade" when it rains a lot. It makes very large pixels on your screen, and distorts your sound.

Officially, "rain fade is the temporary loss of a satelite signal due to the inability of the signal to penetrate unusually heavy rain clouds or rainfall. Rain fade is usually brief, lasting only as the heavy rain cloud condition." Soi if you live where it rains a lot, I would get cable. Otherwise, I haven't hand any other intruptions with a dish.
both previous answers are wrong. i have had dish for 3 months. 2 ice storms and 3 severe thunderstorms and high damaging winds and we had had no problems at all.
