Are HD channels broadcast in 5.1 Dolby digital sound and can DirecTV's High Def DVR record and play in 5.1?

Question: Are there any special hookups to get the Dolby digital sound besides my usually Dolby Digital home theatre receiver and speakers?

Answer:
All HD channels can broadcast in 5.1 surround sound. Do all programming? No. There are some programs that will only deliver in stereo, even if it is on a HD channel.

As for hookups, you will need a digital optical cable to send the audio to your receiver.
