Direct TV , with RCA dish only..what do I need and what are my options , what would YOU DO?
Question:
Answer:
Okay call DirecTV at 1(800)DirecTV, let them know what you are looking for in terms of how many channels, how many rooms you want it in, if you want just recievers or DVR's.
DirecTV will come out free of charge and install a multiswitch from the two lines coming from the DirecTV Dish, then they will run cables to whatever rooms you want to watch TV in. If you want regular receivers they only use 1 coaxial cable line from the multiswitch, and a DVR will need 2 coaxial lines from the multiswitch.
If you have never had a DVR but you have used a VCR then you will LOVE a DVR so much better. You will wonder how TV EVER got along without DVR's, they are that cool..
Hope this helps, if you have any moe questions please feel free to send me an email..
That's just the antenna the real guts are in the digital Set-Top-Box receiver that decodes and converts the RF into electrical signals. You have no choice but to call Direct TV and inquire about activation.
