I just took a job as a residential property manager. The building that I will be living in has an RCA Direct TV dish in the yard. That is all!! It does have two lines running into two rooms. What are my options and where should I start to see what to do. I have never had a dish before and haven't even had basic cable for several years. If you can give me a nice long answer for a novice to help me figure out where to go from here , it will be greatly appreciated. I don't need 2000 channels. But maybe the equivalent of basic cable plus a couple of movies. Please talk to me like I'm 9 yrs old , 'cause I know ZIP....John jjck2727@yahoo.com Also let me know what you've done about DVR

Contact Direct Tv they will provide you with everything you need as long as you sign up for their service. Including a DVR. It comes with simple to understand instruction booklets.You have to connect 2 cables and plug it in.
