Hd tv and directv hd?

Question:
ok i have an mitsubushi 1080p hdtv, with no hd cables. i want to get directv hd package but i dont know if i need hdmi cables, and when i do eventually get it, do i have to pay extra for movie channels to be in hd

Answer:
HDMI will give u the best picture from your directv HD box. u will have to pay for the premium channels (hbo, cinemax, sho-time etc.) if u currently subscribe to these channels then the HD equivalent will be available. make sure u tell the rep u want the HD package...sometimes they dont automatically activate it.
If you want to get a HD DVR, order this instead of the HD receiver when you order Directv service. I have the Directv DVR and it is fantastic. Direct HD Access is $9.99 and gives you additional channels. Be sure to get HD because it requires a 5 LNB dish. When you order, ask if HDMI cables come with the unit ordered. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I've had Directv for 9 years. Oh yes, I've found that having their insurance provides worry free and cost free solutions to problems. I think that it's about $6 per month. Take care.
It would be a good idea to get HDMI cables, although component cables will work fine as well. The HDMI cables will give you a slightly cleaner picture and audio, but also greatly reduce the mess of wires.
