How do i get my HD tuner to work?

Question: i just recently baught a LCD phillips ambiant light tv and it says it has an HD tuner in it but i can't seem to select it and do a channle search. Is there specific channel on the air waves that i need to select?

Answer:
First, you need to connect an off-the-air antenna or cable to the ANT input on your TV.

Then you can do a channel scan.
The tuner can't work without an input!
