I have high defination tv and hdmi connection to digital box how do i get hd channels?

Question:

Answer:
If your TV has a HD tuner built-in then buy an indoor HD antenna to recieve local HD channels. To get HD cable channels you need to signup for them and get a HD cable box.
have you signed up for an hd package with your cable provider. To get hd you need a hd box or dish plus the correct hd service. Pbs sometimes broadcasts in high def.
Are you paying for the HD service? If not your cable company may be blocking those channels. It took us a few days of having that setup before we realized the missing step was to upgrade our service (needed a different digital box than the old one).

The surprising thing was after we got that service we realized it was mostly the same old junky programs, just clearer to see.
You have to contact your cable provider. But honestly its not worth the extra cost. Right now there is not that many HD channels but in about 6 months-1 year there should be more for us :)
Even though you have a digital box it will NOT get high defination TV UNLESS it is a High Defination Digital Box.

Check with your cable company you probably will have to exchange the box.
