I just bought a magnavox plasma. I watch a lot of ESPN. There is ghosting of the espn logo. Can it be fixed

The ticker across the bottom on the HD channel has caused the white ESPN to "ghost" in the image. You can barely see it but it's noticable on certain things. Can this be fixed? I just bought the television and it still has a year warranty valid.

Answer:
Nope. There's a warning in your manual about that. You can't watch the same channel or that will happen. Same with video games like XBox. Not covered under warranty, either. And it's permanent. There is a group trying to get the logos removed. I will attach the link.

If this is a burn in, on some brands of plasmas there is a feature to remove the burn. Actually this causes the rest of the picture to burn in which is supposed to even out the picture again.

A WORK AROUND WOULD BE TO USE ONE OF THE "ZOOM" SETTINGS. IT WILL CUT A BIT OFF THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. MAYBE ENOUGH TO ELIMINATE THE TICKER.
