What you should do is call time warner and have someone check it.
But first look through your TV's manual, you might have to set and activate the Hi-Def
The settings in your HDTV receiver are wrong, whoever the moron was that set it up (or didn't set it up) for you should come back and do it the right way for you. It only takes a second for them to do. I would tell you how to do it but it might be different from Comcast to Time Warner and if it is wrong it could damage the box. Call them and request someone go to your house ASAP and fix it or threaten that you will go to dish and they will send someone right out instantly
There is a procedure on the hd box that time warner provides to set it up for hd. Contact tech support at time warner and they can walk you through the set up procedures.
