Installing an indoor HD antenna with a basic satallite receiver?

Question:
We just got a Sony TV with a built in HD tuner. We currently have a basic satellite receiver. How do we install an indoor HD antenna so that we can watch the local channels broadcast in HD for free?

Answer:
on your tv use 'video 1' for the satellite. plug the satellite cables (the rca yellow, red, white, or s-video red and white) into the video1 input.

connect the HD antenna into the over the air antenna input on the back (sony has 2 inputs, one for cable, one for over the air, dont use the cable one). do a channels search for the OTA signals in your area.

watch satellite on video 1. use the tv tuner for local HD.
The satellite box should have a tv antenna input on the back. When the box is shut off, the antenna signal is then routed to the tv. Of course, if you're not using the antenna input for the satellite box feed, you need you need to add the cable from the RF out on the satellite box to the tv.
