In your opinion, is Direct TV premium channels worth the money?

I have had Direct TV for a while now and sometimes find myself purchasing the premium channels only to delete them later. Do you think they pay channels are worth the money?? Also, does anyone know when they will have all the locals in HD without using an external antenna??

Only you know if certain channels are worth the money ... if you find you're not watching them, for you then they're not.

For other people they might think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Don't know answer to HD question as I have regular DirecTV access myself.

In my opinion, yes. So I get everything including HD channels. I enjoy TLC and boxing, movies and shows on HBO and Showtime and I will be subscribing to the football package but no other sport packages. My area's local stations are already available in HD from Directv.

It is only worth it if you are a couch potato and watch TV more than normal. If you only watch it for a few hours in the evening to relax after a hard day doing whatever, it may or may not be advantageous. Like the first poster said, it's up to you.
