HDTV Local chanels?

Question:
I currently have Dish Network. If I buy an antenna to pick up local channels do I need to buy a different receiver to get the over the air channels or do I just hook it to my receiver from them. I have the HD programming but can't get HD locals.

Answer:
your HDTV should have an internal tuner in it to pick up over the air, if not (its not an hdtv is a HDM) but your box should have one as well.
www.antennaweb.org
will give you a list of all the over the air broadcast in your zip how far they are from you and the degrees they are at.
You should be able to just hook the receiver to the new antenna.
Your DishNetwork box should have an antenna input for local channels. To watch the local air channels just turn off the Dish box and they should come in fine.
Yes, that depends on your TV set-- if it has a built-in tuner for HD, then you can just go and hookup the over the air antenna to it. Additionally, Dish Network HD receivers or HD-DVR does support feed from over the air antenna, so you can use that setup as well.
