We are a worldwide web now America, do we need public school teachers any longer, especially if they not teacher our children? With the worldwide web we can pick the teachers that will teach our children now, do we need to just accept the mediocre attitudes of some teachers that always complain about insufficient resources? Do we need to send our children to public schools to be physically and verbally assaulted by some public school teachers that are possibly rebelling against district policies? If we go to online public school teaching will the student's grades improve? Do we have to screen the backgrounds of online teachers that our children. We know that many minorities are not teaching because of their backgrounds and because college funds are not readily assessible, or they don't want to go into financial debt. Online teaching is the thing of the future, the college system is working very effectively on it right now, will we see this amongst public schools?

YES!
I think it is inevitable that on-line teaching will be heavily integrated into schools, but i don't think the social aspect of classes and student group relationships should be eliminated. Kids need to know how to handle social situations, and the sooner they learn the better. Perhaps a few days a week students would go to class (tests, gym, some group work), and other days students would stay at home on their computer and have online classes. There are too many ways to easily cheat on tests online to have them not taken in class with a teacher.
who supplies the hands on help for the children? online tutorials don't off the degree of help that a real person can and when a student goes online with a question it can take days to get an answer. online education is not the way forward. learning is socially constructed, which is why school works for most children. sitting at home alone at their computers won't teach them much. social interaction is not there, motivation is not there, guidance is not there.
