I'm looking for a website where I can purchase cheap laptops?
Question:
cpu: 500 mhz+ (preferrably dual core)
80+ gb hard drive
1+ gb ram
cd rom drive
800x600+ resolution 256 colors
windows xp
2 high speed usb ports
ethernet port
wireless network connection 802.11b/g
I am looking for a good, reliable website (or store) that sells cheap laptops.
Thank you
Have you looked at Best buy or Circuit city's online stores? Or even Walmart.com? I saw good deals on laptops on those sites when I was shopping for my laptop. Good luck to ya! :)
Try the dell outlet site. Very good computers and laptops at good prices with excellent warranties and support.

If XP is a must and Vista is not accepted, the only place I know of still selling them is Dell. Beyond that. go to the major retailers and look at the systems. Check the display for different angles, the keyboard for feel, and the weight. Don't forget to shop the office supply stores. Most retailers will be having good buys for back to school and Labor Day. You must get to the store early or place your order on line quickly because the number they have is very limited. I have an Acer with Vista Premium, a Compaq, a HP, and a Toshiba all with XP and wireless. No problems with any. Keep a good anti-virus, anti-adware and don't use a P2P service to get pirated files since a lot have payloads buried in them. Be sure to check out extended warranties and what they cover.
You can try www.grayonline.com.au. Need to search for your needs. There is a 10% GST and 12.5% auction(?) plus delivery. Conservatively add 17 - 20% of what you bid for an idea of the final price. Think you need to be over 18yrs and have a credit card.
