I know I already asked this about online academies, but the school in the last answer wasn't available in Tx??

I asked this a few days ago, and thought I had a really great answer about a free online academy for homeschool, but come to find out the school isn't available in Texas. So does anyone know of an online academy that isn't real expensive that is offered in Texas? For those of you that are going to say try public school, my son IS in public school and I want to take him out.

I read your last question. Do you mean that it's online schooling? I'm not really sure what you're talking about, other people might not either. Do you mean books/papers/tests/etc that you GET from online or do the kids go online and the computer is the teacher basically?

It would be nice to actually get additional details that could actually help others answer your question appropriately.

I live in TX and recently was looking into homeschooling - 1st in TX you don't need to enroll in any programs. But if you want to check out theschool.com, calvertschool.org, and thegraceacademy.org. I was looking for affordable good education for both of my children.

It's in Texas, but only available for the Houston area. It's actually a charter public school but all instruction takes place in your home with you doing the teaching. My son is in first grade using the same program in California and we love it.
