GPA or friends?

Question:
I am home schooled I just started last year. I only no a few people b/c I just moved and im not sure if I should go 2 public school or stay with my online classes. Im getting much better grades in my online classes but I know very few ppl. Should I stay online for my GPA or go 2 public school for friends? btw im in grade 11.

Answer:
Well, honestly, I know it's tough to not have many friends, but at your age, it's best to focus on the GPA. Trust me, if you work hard enough now it will pay off later. But maybe try going some different places and meeting new people. By doing that it will improve your social life.

Best of luck
If your very social in life, you dont have to go to public school. Many kids are isolated because they have been home schooled their enitre life...but going to public school can give you many opportunites and open many doors, it will be hard at first but you will get use to it...
GPA! That will get you farther in life than friends. You can always try to meet people in other ways...join clubs and such at your local rec center or something. just get involved with the community or something. but if your grades are better now than if you went to a public school.then I suggest sticking with it. If you can go to school and make friends and keep your gpa up, then that would be good too. but the gpa is very important.
GPA's more important, but if doesn't really help your social skills. You could try going to college or do sports to meet people.
This is just a personal opinion. If you are really focused on getting into a really good college, I'd stay with the home schooling. However, friends can be very useful in life. I'm grade 12 and I feel like I'd be nowhere without my friends. I wouldn't know what to do without them. I get good grades (3.0 GPA) and plan on going to a descent college and a lot of this is because of my friends. If I ever need help with work, I can just call one of them up to help me out. If you decide to stay homeschooled, try getting out more to meet new people. It can be hard being the new kid in school but once you meet the right people it will be easy to make more friends. If you do good homeschooled, I'm sure you can do fine in public schools and you'll be able to meet more people.
