Question:

I have been doing tons of research online and I see a lot of nice places public apartments and private. But since I am not from around there. I do not want to assume an area is nice/decent and it be total opposite. I have a school aged daughter to think about.

Anywhere south of I-20 and north of the Airport. Try Roswell or Alpharetta. Stay out of Chambodia if you speak English.

Go to a site http://www.greatschools.net/ and look at the schools, north ga is a good start

After living in the north Atlanta suburbs for entirely too long, my husband and I moved into Buckhead 3 years ago - and we will NEVER go back to the 'burbs! The best (private) schools are here in the city and one of the best public elementary schools (arguably, in the Country!) is Sarah Smith Elementary. If you enjoy sitting in ridiculous traffic and want your house to look pretty much identical to your neighbor's house, then choose the suburbs. But I don't feel that you would regret moving "ITP" (inside the Perimeter). Good Luck with your search!
