Part-time students don't receive as much aid. I think it is the correct amount, but it is not a bad idea to double check.
Why are you part-time? If you have a job, then certainly that impacts also on the amount of aid you receive.
The college your going to can help you apply for a pell grant that should pay the rest of your tuition.Also they have a work study program. That should help. Check to see if your school has an EOF program, it stands for education oppurtunity fubd, I am in it myself...They have advisors that help you through the whole college experience, and they give you a grant towards tutiton and books, I went to my school store and used my student ID to pay for everything! From a bookbag to pencils, check out the fin aid program, from my research alot of schools have it, you just have to write an essay as to why you should be accepted into that program. DO NOT get loans if you DONT HAVE TO, you are trying to get ahead, and once you graduate, you will be back in the red, there are TOO many grants available, if you truly need the fin assistance, check into that!
