Any suggestions on how to handle the stress of work and school,as well as church choir ?
Question:
A wise person told me once that life should be prioritized in the following order: God, family, church, others. Make God your priority- spend time with Him and in His word- this will help you know what He expects from you. Then take care of your own family before your church family and church commitments (yes, this is biblical although I don't know the exact passage right now). Then do the "other" things in your life if and when there is time.
I also read somewhere that we have to determine what is what God wants us to do. Just because something is a "good" thing does not mean that it is automatically good for you.
Depending on your exact field in nursing, you can have a very stressful job. Are you taking time to pamper yourself? This important- you have to do things to help you feel good. I have found that a simple hot bath can take the cares away. Get in the tub and breath- do nothing else but breath for at least 10 min. every night before bed.
As far as your getting tired - are you taking a good multivitamin? B complex? A good vitamin will dissolve in warm water within 20-30 minutes. I personally am a true believer in Shaklee vitamins and also find Amway (now called Quixtar) double X are both excellent. Centrum is easy to find in your local stores and is decent as well.
Prayers going out to you as I type!
Love in Christ
the first thing i would do is eliminate the choir- for now. you need to work, and online classes are a time sensitive project that need your attention. the only activity that can be put on hold is choir. im sure that all involved will understand, especially God. and be sure to take time for a few minutes of meditation.just relax the mind and visualize yourself as being geared down, but happy, strong and well-balanced. concentrate on deep breathes, and slowly exhale. it only takes a few minutes to restore your energy. take a good vitamin suppliment, if you are not currently doing so.there is no need to do it all at once. you still have many years left, best wishes
