Are the majority of online college students...?
Question:
Im NOT the person who said that statement so don't go all crazy and yell @ me! i just want to know the truth
Answer:
I am a 53 yr old mother, wife of 33 yrs (still happily married to my high school sweetheart), nurse, artist.
This is probably the most time I have ever spent online because now I work with my husband land surveying.
I quit nursing, too many things people were not doing, dotting their "i's" and crossing their "t's". Although I did enjoy it, its a very hard career, physically and mentally.
Sounds like your school councelor was either trying to motivate you kids to take more classes or trying to get you to stay in college for the school's moneitary benefit, not your's.
Or maybe she is just tooting her own horn because she is not working at Target or Wal Mart, but there again a academic career is probably the easiest one to obtain, according to my kids who are both college grads.
She needs to do some statistics on her remark.
Nope I completed my MBA online without any children while working full time. Most online students I feel are working parents who want the freedom to complete a degree when they choose and feel out of place in a typical classroom setting of 18-21 year olds.
I have taken online classes for two years now, and my experience has been that most online students work full-time, and therefore need the flexibility of the online class. From my own experience, I work full time at a bank, and have 98 credits earned in college already. I have had good luck with my online classes in the past. My question to you would be, why do you care who is in your class? Online classes don't really have much interaction within the class, so who is in your class with you shouldn't really effect you at all. Good luck.
Wow. That sure doesn't sound like someone I would want to be advising me. I take online courses that meet every two weeks in the classroom and I don't think that one single person there fits your counselors description.
Online students ARE people who want to further themselves but have other responsibilities. That can be work, kids or a number of other circumstances that really have no effect on anyone else taking the course.
Youre sadly mistaken, you ignorant person. I take classes online and I know for a fact that there are other people are not what that person says they are.
If I was to say that I am Sylvester Stallone, would you believe it..obviously you would...
Dont believe everything you hear, especially about people
I can yell at you if I want to, thats my GOD given and constitutional right to
